At the end of December 2023, the world’s leader in airport ground services and air cargo handling, with currently around 60,000 employees, was active at 286 airports in 44 countries on six continents.In the scope of a maternity leave replacement, we are hiring for our Finance department in Geneva with immediate effect or upon agreement aBUSINESS & FINANCE CONTROLLER (M/F/D)WORKLOAD | 100% FOR A PERIOD OF 1 YEARLOCATION | GENEVA AIRPORT WITH HOME-OFFICE OPTIONComparable to an airplane pilot who bears the great responsibility for safe take-off and landing, the Controller in Finance is responsible for achieving the company’s goals using business management “navigation methods”. Are you motivated to join our finance department as a finance controller? We offer you the opportunity to contribute your experience as a finance controller in the exciting environment of the aviation industry. You will be responsible for the controlling of one of our operational subsidiaries in Geneva and support cross-divisional projects. You will also have the opportunity to contribute your previously acquired know-how in project work.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the preparation of month-end, quarter-end and annual financial statements incl. hard close according to IFRS and OR
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Preparing financial key figures and deviation analyses
- Establishing budget, forecasts, and business plan
- Liquidity plans preparation
- Building of business cases for the potential expansion of business areas
- Developing fact-based decision baseline for investments
- Representing finance in projects (cost optimization, process improvements, etc.)
- Monthly reporting to the group and to the station management
- Contact person in financial matters for the operational business as well as for the auditors
- Participating in management and board meetings of the supervised business unit
YOUR PROFILE:
- Degree in Business Administration and / or completed studies specialized in Controlling, Finance or equivalent
- Sound accounting and controlling knowledge, as well as at least 2 years of practical experience in IFRS accounting standards
- High IT affinity, with solid knowledge of SAP R/3 FI/CO, MS-Office
- Business fluency in French and English, German as a plus
