As a Business Unit Head, HIV in GSK Sweden, you will lead and develop a high-performing commercial sales and marketing team to deliver GSK’s Ahead Together objectives with focus, pace, and ambition. Aligned with GSK’s bold ambition and with deep market insight, you must establish the strategic and operating priorities for the current HIV to optimise pipeline value, deliver health impact to more appropriate patients, and drive sustainable growth for the business. Within the role, you will provide leadership of the HIV Sweden team and enable effective partnerships with cross-functional teams to synergise efforts and support the General Manager in achieving the growth objectives for Sweden.You will be held accountable to influence key internal and external stakeholders, with a solid understanding of nuances in the local healthcare and regulatory environment. You need to ensure teams operate in line with GSK code and embed disciplined compliance to company policies, local regulations, and ethical standards. As an enterprise leader, you will role model living the GSK Culture and enable an environment for outstanding people to thrive in GSK.Position overviewThis role offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to contribute to the strategic direction and growth of our business unit as Business Unit Head, while gaining valuable experience in managing a team and driving business outcomes. You are a dynamic and strategic leader who will play a critical role in providing strategic direction, leadership, and overall management of the business unit’s operations. You will have a pivotal role in driving the commercial success, growth, and impact within the HIV/AIDS therapeutic area.Role responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Create and execute long-term strategy for the in-country unit to achieve expected growth.Develop and achieve forecast goals and profit targets and effectively manage the business unit’s Profit and Loss.Generate up-to-date country-level insights to inform local business strategies and execution.Provide in-country support for new asset launches (including market shaping, marketing mix, channel strategy) and ensure successful launch.Manage external stakeholders (e.g., customers, policymakers, payers, providers) and effectively communicate customer value propositions.Build best-in-class commercial teams with high scientific knowledge and strong omnichannel capabilities.Effectively manage change and lead through transitions.Closing Date for Applications: 15th June 2025 (COB)Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post-closure of the advert. The information that you have provided in your cover letter and CV will be used to assess your application.Why you?Basic Qualifications:Progressive experience in regional or Local Operating Company (LOC) Commercial roles in both sales and marketing with extensive experience in people leadership positions.Experience in portfolio management of brands across different therapy areas and demonstrating agility to learn new disease and product knowledge.Strong performance mindset and track record to work through difficulties and deliver results.In-depth understanding of the HIV/AIDS therapeutic landscape, including market dynamics, patient needs, and treatment options.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in effectively leading and developing high-performing teams.BSc degree in a relevant field.Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills as a Business Unit Head or similar ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving targets.
