On behalf of our client – a dynamic professional services company with a strong international dimension – we are looking for a CFO.About the jobAs CFO you will be part of a recognized professional services company – one of Europe’s largest within their niche – and you will play a decisive role in supporting the growth ambitions of the business.You will be a central part of the Management Team and the CEO’s strategic sparring partner, with the opportunity to shape the financial strategy and be co-architect of the continued international expansion in a smaller, but highly ambitious organization.The roleYou will take charge of leading and developing the company’s finance function. The role spans broadly, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.You will have full responsibility for the company’s financial operations – from daily financial management and month-end closing, financial reporting, conducting financial analysis to ensure compliance and strategic development of scalable structures and processes.Key responsibilitiesMain responsibilities and tasks will include, but not be limited to:

• Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s goal and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board and senior management.
• Lead the Finance team, providing guidance and support to team members.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring financial stability and resilience.
• Overseeing banking activities, ensuring proper management of funds, and maintaining relationships with banking institutions.
• Oversee the company’s insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage and managing relationships with insurance providers.

Your profile

• A degree in finance, accounting or the like. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification as Public Accountant (statsautoriseret revisor) is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating strong skills within financial management and leadership.
• Strategic mindset, capable of developing and implementing long-term financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience in developing and coaching a finance team.
• Strong delegation skills in combination with a hands-on approach and willingness as well as ability to roll up your sleeves when needed.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong skills within IT and digitalization.
• Thorough understanding of financial regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.

You communicate effectively at all levels – from team members to board members – and handle complex situations with calm and professionalism.Your flexibility and team-player mentality combine with strong relational skills that make you a natural bridge-builder across the organization.
