Job description

We are looking for a professional chef to work with us during our winter season 25/26 in Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort. Starting date can be flexible, but we wish you could start in November/Beginning of December and continue until end of March. Working time is 112,5h/3 weeks.What we are looking for:

• Great cooking skills
• Ability to organize the kitchen with the needed cooking utensils and ensure all meals are prepared well in a timely manner.
• Following recipes as per Finnish and International cooking standards.
• Attention to detail in cooking
• Experience with cooking with dietary restrictions.
• Experience in cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and work areas in the kitchen.
• Culinary school education is a plus
• Relevant previous work experience
• Good English language skills, so that you can communicate with your colleagues (our company language is English)

Personal skills:

• Positive attitude
• Professional attitude towards work – work can be hectic but we do not yell at our colleagues
• Handling guest complaints in a professional manner.
• Flexible in working different shifts (morning, day, evening)
• Excellent cooperation skills

What we consider as a plus:

• Finnish hygiene passport
• Driver’s license
• Additional language skills

The location of the resort is in the middle of lovely nature, and here you also have time to enjoy nature and try different activities that you might never get to try otherwise. A great team and modern kitchen tools in kitchen will make your time here great.It is possible to rent an apartment through us, so it is easy to join us wherever you are coming from. In terms of employment, we follow the Finnish collective agreement of the tourism and restaurant industry (MaRa), and the salary is according to the agreement, depending a little on the applicant’s previous experience and education.We do not accept nor process work applications via direct email.
