Apply now!Learn more: jti.comChemical Science and Method Development Lead (m/f/d)In this newly established key role, you will lead one of three divisions within our Chemical Analysis and Science Department. Alongside your team you will cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation, and compliance to address evolving analytical requirements.Position:You will:

• Provide Leadership and Vision: lead and develop your team in alignment with JTI’s business goals, leveraging analytical capabilities and ensuring compliance with customer demands and global regulations
• Drive Analytical Excellence and Innovation: lead the development and validation of new analytical methods across diverse matrices, employ cutting-edge technologies and ensure method accuracy, precision, and robustness, while supporting a comprehensive quality management system through documented procedures, training programs and regular audits
• Drive effective Project Management and Capabilities Enhancement: lead method development projects, systematically investigate chemical-related issues from external feedback, and efficiently manage spontaneous requests from internal stakeholders

Within 6 months you will:

• Champion continuous improvement within your division, fostering a culture of quality and encouraging exploration of new technologies to enhance analytical capabilities
• Represent JTI in international standards committees and foster knowledge transfer with peers globally

Requirements:

• PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related field (master degree may be considered with extensive experience)
• Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role managing a team of scientists within a research and development environment
• Proven track record of developing and implementing innovative analytical methods for various applications
• In-depth knowledge of instrumental analysis techniques and their applications as well as data evaluation software
• Excellent leadership and management competencies
• Fluent in English and German
