Duration: 6 – Month ContractYou will be responsible for:
Tasks and Deliverables The expected tasks and deliverables of this engagement are the following, but not limited to:

  • Deploy and update Windows Virtual (on premise or in Azure) and physical servers, based on IMT/ESS guidelines.
  • Upgrade the WSUS from Windows Server 2012 R2 to 2019. Propose improvements and upon approval, implement them. Update the relevant documentation and SOP.
  • Provide 2nd level support for Windows environment, including backup.
  • Perform administration of the Backup Infrastructure, installing updates and troubleshooting events in error state (DELL EMC Networker 19.1, DataDomain, Quantum i500 LTO7).
  • Test, improve and document the backup and restore procedures for the Azure VM, based on Microsoft technology.
  • Process service requests assigned to the Global DataCentre queue in the WHO ticketing system (Myservice).
  • Liaising with DELL EMC technical support to upgrade to latest firmware and drivers for the necessary Windows physical servers.
  • Troubleshoot hardware related issues, liaising with external vendors for replacements or interventions.
  • Create, test and maintain PowerShell scripts for task automation.
  • Define and document the cloning process for Windows Servers in the Azure WHO tenant.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the operation team.
  • React, solve or escalate alerts sent by the IMT/ESS monitoring tool, during Geneva working hours.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teams in an international, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment; separated by geographical locations and working under different time-zones.
  • Ability to promote best practices, advise on improvements, independently perform research, and apply information from a broad range of sources.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of working experience in the following domains:

o GPO creation for users and server environments;
o Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019 administration;
o Windows Server monitoring tools;

  • Working experience with Azure framework.
  • Working experience of Windows Servers hosted in VMware vSphere 6.5 or higher.
  • Working experience of Backup Systems administration and operations; experience with DELL EMC Networker 9.x, DataDomain, Quantum tape libraries would be an asset.
