**First Year Apprentice Vacancy** **Level 6 Civil Engineering Apprenticeship ** DBFL are now hiring for our Level 6 Civil Engineering Apprenticeship with a start date of August 2025. Why choose an apprenticeship with DBFL? If you have an interest in Technical Drawing/Design and Communications Graphics, Geometry, Physics and/or 3D modelling, or have a natural flair for hands on engineering then this programme will suit you. Each candidate will be assigned a mentor who will guide them towards achieving the goals set out in DBFL’s Apprenticeship Programme with the aim of building your technical expertise and skills using CAD/BIM packages. You will also be given the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while concurrently working towards your third level qualification and getting paid throughout. About the course. • This is a 2-year programme in conjunction with ATU Cork. • The programme consists of 4 days working and 1 day of on-line learning every week, all facilitated in our Dublin office. • Apprentices are also required to attend ATU for the first week of each semester and one day a month to complete labs/workshops. • On successful completion, a Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering (Level 6) on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) will be awarded. Entry Requirements • At least 18 years of age in September 2025 • Pass Grade in Maths at Level 5 (or Equivalent) • Solid literacy, verbal, and numeracy skills This is an excellent route to getting started in an engineering career with one of the country’s most reputable engineering consultancy practices, gaining practical, on-the-job experience and skills along with a qualification which is on the National Framework of Qualifications and is internationally recognised.
