China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in infrastructure design for a full-time, fixed-term position at the CAM Plant project site in Keltakallio, Kotka. CHEC is the main contractor for the project and is responsible for the implementation and construction of the facility. The assignment is expected to last approximately two years, with the start date as soon as possible by agreement.In this role
, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design of municipal infrastructure works, including internal roads, site grading, and geotechnical solutions. Your tasks include reviewing design documents such as geotechnical investigation reports and foundation plans, assessing site grading layouts, and participating in subgrade inspections and approvals. You will also collaborate across disciplines, particularly with piping, structural, and process engineering teams, to ensure integrated and compliant design solutions.We expect you to hold a relevant university-level degree, such as in infrastructure or civil engineering, and have at least five years of experience in design work for infrastructure or industrial construction projects. You should be able to read piping layouts, isometric drawings, and material specifications. Experience in site coordination, proficiency in TEKLA software, and strong English language skills are highly valued.
