The client service supervisor Fund accounting role operates at the interface of technical operational processes and client service, so the ability to simplify complex concepts and offer creative solutions is paramount.Join us as a Client Service Supervisor – Funds Accounting focused (FTC)In this role you will oversee the mutual fund accounting activities of several large, complex funds and/or a group of funds. The position ensures the firm’s clients receive accurate and timely data and serves as a point of escalation for complex client issues.Key Technical Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding of daily UCITS and Part II mutual fund accounting activities and be comfortable running exception and risk-based reviews.
- As part of the oversight and control responsibilities, liaise with BBH operational centers of excellence
to ensure the accurate and timely valuation of accounting records.
- Manage and resolve incidents by having the capability to efficiently analyze the validity of transactions, valuation impacts, and any other portfolio impacting aspects (e.g. hedging, performance fees, or swing pricing) while ensuring escalation of issues based on set tolerances.
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver fund events and projects in line with defined best practices (e.g., Launch, Liquidation, Year-end audit cycle).
- Exhibit a sound understanding of BBH and industry products and services.
Key Client Focused Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key point of contact for external clients with regard to daily servicing inquiries.
- Assign and follow up on client cases and escalations with relationship owner of your assigned client level contacts.
- Coordinate and follow up on client meetings and deliverables (e.g., monthly metrics and operational logs).
- Develop key internal relationships to proactively aid in the resolution of client issues.
Key Competencies:
- Communication – succinct internal and external communication, ability to simplify complex technical concepts and to convey complex financial information to clients in a clear and understandable manner, both in writing and verbally.
- Service Excellence and client centric approach – building and maintaining strong client relationships is a key aspect of the role. Being responsive, attentive, and empathetic to client needs and their underlying drivers enhances client satisfaction and retention.
- Ability to see a challenge from multiple perspectives, generate several workable solutions, then build a case for the best option.
Experience and education background:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in fund accounting, NAV oversight or similar, fund audit experience acceptable
- Understanding of the fund industry and applicable regulations
