Job Opportunity: Company AccountantRole Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our client’s finance department. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting processes.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily banking activities, record transactions, and manage monthly bank reconciliations.
• Process and file purchase and expense invoices, handle supplier payments, and reconcile accounts monthly.
• Assist in preparing year-end draft management accounts.
• Manage sales invoicing, customer statements, and overdue account follow-ups.
• Monitor stock adjustments, ensuring accurate monthly postings to the ledger.
• Prepare and file bi-monthly VAT returns and maintain compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Execute payroll processing on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis, ensuring timely tax submissions.
• Maintain and update financial records in line with company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Recognised Accounting qualification – ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or qualified by experience.
• Strong background in Accounting within the SME sector.
• Experienced working with small teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with non-financial stakeholders.
