Join Western Union as Company Secretary in Dublin.Hybrid: 3 full working days at the office per weekWestern Union powers your pursuit.This is a company secretarial role reporting into the Director, Managing Counsel, Corporate Governance in Dublin and supporting and advising Western Union regarding corporate governance matters. The role supports the international Corporate Governance function, requiring strong company secretarial experience and experience liaising with senior executives and a broad range of stakeholders.Role ResponsibilitiesEnsuring subsidiaries in the international structure meet their statutory obligations on corporate compliance mattersBoard meeting support for regulated subsidiaries through the setting of agendas, preparation and distribution of board packs, drafting meeting minutesPreparation and co-ordination of commercial register filings for international subsidiaries, including annual returns, financial statements etc., liaising with external services providers as neededCo-ordination with external service providers in relation to discharging the company secretarial function on a multi-jurisdictional basis (including the above mentioned corporate compliance and commercial register filings).Maintenance of statutory registers for subsidiariesMaintenance of internal company secretarial records (central registers containing details of all subsidiaries)Assisting various functions in satisfying third party KYC/AML requests by collating necessary documents relating to international subsidiariesSupporting group projects from a subsidiary management perspectiveRole RequirementsMembership of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and AdministratorsMinimum of 4-5 years’ experience in a top tier Accountancy Practice or Law Firm or in-house in a corporate secretarial roleExperience in managing annual compliance for a portfolio of companiesExperience in leading board meetings and advising senior executives on corporate governance mattersProficient on corporate governance and company secretarial mattersExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing prioritiesAbility to exercise independent, sound judgment and to function with limited supervisionExperience dealing directly with mid- to high-level internal and external clients and senior managementExcellent oral and written communications skillsEnthusiastic and keen to grow and develop within the organisationExperience working with international companies and/or within the financial sector, is desirableAble to play a role in implementing policies and procedures to support organizational objectives and internal controlsWe make financial services accessible to humans everywhere.
