Our client, one of Ireland’s leading main contractors in the Construction sector, is actively seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Offaly. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a reputable contractor in the industry. The ideal candidate will manage subcontractors, monitor project timelines, assess risks, and ensure successful project delivery.Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision & Subcontractor Management: Oversee and supervise site foremen and subcontractors, ensuring high performance.
- Subcontractor Selection & Performance Monitoring: Manage the selection process and monitor subcontractor performance on-site.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the highest quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Commercial Awareness: Keep management informed about site progress, address commercial issues, and proactively mitigate risks.
- Risk Management: Review and assess commercial and contractual risks, ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
- Contract Administration: Maintain accurate records for variations and additions, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
- Final Accounts Preparation: Assist in preparing final accounts for projects, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Project Meetings: Actively participate in site project meetings to resolve any commercial issues.
- Multiple Project Oversight: Manage and oversee the delivery of 2-3 projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, quality, and budget adherence.
Requirements:
- Experience: Over 5 years of site experience in Construction projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Career Growth Focus: A dynamic and driven approach with a strong focus on long-term career development.
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with construction software such as StrucCad, Strumis, AutoCAD, or Tekla is a plus.
- Contracts Management Experience: Previous experience managing contracts, ideally in the steelwork fabrication and erection sectors.
- Project Handling: Experience with a variety of contracts, especially high-rise projects in industrial and commercial sectors.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines and budget constraints.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
- Steel Fabrication Experience: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication and erection.
- Work Ethic: A conscientious, self-disciplined, and organized work ethic.
- Microsoft Office: Competent in Word, Outlook, and strong Excel skills.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
