Job Description:Dentsu Finance in Norway is seeking a Country Controller to join our team.The Finance department consists of three disciplines: Operational Finance, Commercial Finance, and Financial Control. In this role, you will support these teams as well as the Finance Director. The purpose of this role is to develop the Controllership strategy, drive an strong compliance environment, oversee the production of robust financial information ensuring that it is of high quality and compliant with internal and external regulatory requirements,Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure relevant financial controls are built into the statutory and management reporting structures
• Ensure local tax, statutory, and all other regulatory filings are completed on time.
• Lead Balance Sheet reviews in Norway. Work with in-country Financial Controllers to implement processes and drive improvements to Balance Sheet management and review.
• Manage internal/external audit relationships and any regulatory bodies where relevant.
• Maintain our internal control framework
• Be the local technical accounting champion for all accounting, legal, and regulatory issues by identifying and assessing their impact on the business and advising the relevant parties of any process changes required.
• Monitor compliance with Dentsu policies. Maintain the highest level of financial integrity ensuring compliance with group and regional policies.
• Build capabilities, tools, and skills within Controllership to increase efficiency and value add.
• Monitor any internal audit issues flagged by the Internal Audit team and work with in-country Financial Controllers to close off pending issues.
• Roll out control and compliance on-site trainings, if needed.
• Own and develop our relationship with the Group controllership function

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing.
• Experience in auditing, with a transition to an in-house role or work in a larger accounting firm.
• Experience in larger corporations, with an understanding of corporate structures and guidelines.
• Experience with compliance work (SOX – JSOX experience is an advantage).
• Experience with international companies and knowledge of IFRS
• Versatile experience, ideally from auditing to operational accounting, and further to a role as a Financial Controller or team lead. Can be a certified accountant who has transitioned to a controller role.
• Fluent in both English and Norwegian.
• Interest in technological development, including AI, and the ability to see opportunities in technological solutions.
