Customer Service Representative (French)Location: Hybrid – Office based (Kilkenny) with flexible remote working
Full-Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday, standard business hoursHartley People Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Customer Service Representative with fluent French to join a well-established international brand. This is a hybrid role based out of the company’s European Head Office in Kilkenny, with flexibility for partial remote work.This is not just a customer-facing role — you’ll also liaise with suppliers, agents, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations across the business. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and managing multiple communication streams in a dynamic and supportive environment.What You’ll Be Doing

  • Communicate professionally in French and English with customers, suppliers, and agents via phone, email, and fax.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders and follow-up on incomplete or delayed requests.
  • Liaise with logistics, warehouse, and sales departments to support order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and agents to clarify requirements, confirm product details, or resolve supply-related queries.
  • Manage documentation such as order confirmations, returns paperwork, pricing queries, catalogues, and samples.
  • Accurately maintain records of interactions, resolutions, and outstanding issues.
  • Contribute to a team-based environment with a focus on collaboration, quality, and proactive problem-solving.

What We’re Looking For

  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service, sales support, or supply chain support role.
  • Experience dealing with both customers and suppliers/agents is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage challenging queries professionally.
  • Comfortable working across teams and departments to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
  • High attention to detail, especially in order processing and written communication.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
  • A friendly, patient, and helpful manner with a proactive mindset.
  • Willingness to work standard daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional overtime if needed.
