Job Description:A new position as Customs Manager has been created in our Finance department. The Customs Manager will provide direction and lead our European Customs practice to ensure compliance with all EU and British customs regulations.The Customs Manager willProvide direction for our supply chain employeesLead the implementation of an import compliance programEnsure proper classification, record-keeping, valuation and trainingImplement an effective entry review and post audit programIdentify and mitigate trade compliance and financial risksDrive proactive planning and integration with logistics & operationsSupport investigations of compliance problems, questions or complaintsAlign with customs team in Europe, the Americas and Asia-PacificHow you will contributeYou will be required to apply business experience, judgement and compliance knowledge to provide added value for the business. We are looking for a committed and passionate individual who is up for a new challenge in supporting SATAIR’s growth.What we are looking forYou may have a Bachelor’s degree or similar education with a minimum of 5 years of international trade compliance experience.You need to have robust customs compliance knowledge, experience in operational systems such as SAP and experience with customs clearance preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry. You must have knowledge of European governmental regulations pertaining to customs clearance & logistics.
