We foster a teamwork culture with room for individual development.Please visitData Centre Facilities LeadAbout the team:The team plays a vital role in ensuring the continued operation of the DI SW Regional Data Centers, which are essential for supporting business segments and developers across the globe including EMEA. To maintain seamless operations and address challenges proactively, the addition of backfill resources is critical for ensuring uninterrupted functionality. Furthermore, our EMEA team leads the execution of the EMEA datacenter strategy, focusing on infrastructure optimization and aligning initiatives with broader organizational goals. Continuous monitoring of EMEA technical spaces, including EMEA regional data center, is crucial for reliability, with team support facilitating prompt issue resolution and operational continuity. Additionally, the acceleration of engineering datacenter consolidation across EMEA is key to streamlining operations, and senior resources will be instrumental in expediting this complex initiative. Collaborating with facilities leadership on critical projects, our team ensures that logistics are managed effectively and transitions are successful.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation and strategic maintenance of EMEA critical sites including EMEA Regional Data Center;
  • Lead and optimize kW utilization tracking for EMEA critical sites within the designated regions, ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness;
  • Drive budget planning and allocation processes for the assigned geographic regions, aligning with overall organizational goals;
  • Oversee procurement activities for critical infrastructure (CI) within the assigned regions, ensuring alignment with project and operational requirements;
  • Lead the technical spaces related projects across the assigned geographic regions, ensuring timely delivery and operational excellence;
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and reporting for all activities within the assigned geographic regions, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance;
  • Lead collaboration with DC team on Shannon site maintenance, operations, and emergency procedures within the assigned regions, fostering a proactive approach to site management;
  • Lead collaboration with facility teams on non-RDC site maintenance, operations, and emergency procedures within the assigned regions, fostering a proactive approach to site management;
  • Provide senior oversight and strategic direction for all related to the designated geographic regions;
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal partners, and external vendors, ensuring seamless operations and project delivery;
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for alarms and incidents within the assigned regions, ensuring rapid and effective response;
  • Create and Lead the development and execution of Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for significant events, driving continuous improvement in the assigned geographic regions;
  • Oversee the integration of new sites into maintenance and monitoring systems, managing IP generation, hostname allocation, and alarm threshold settings for the assigned regions.

Operating mode:

  • Hybrid model, 3 days per week in Shannon office, 8am – 4 pm or 9am – 5pm;
  • Business travel within the EMEA region will comprise around 10-20% of working time;
  • Act as the first responder for alarms and incidents in the assigned geographic region, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently. Participate in the call-down list to provide 24/7 support for critical systems and emergencies.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of critical spaces (data centers, clean room, etc.) is mandatory;
  • 3+ years in a senior data center role;
  • Qualification (mechanical trade qualification) is important electrical trade qualification can be considered;
  • Experience in critical spaces finances (budget planning , vendor management, etc.);
  • Speaking another European Language is a plus;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with teams and vendors;
  • Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools and environmental monitoring systems is advantageous;
  • Experience managing operations and maintenance, of critical sites like data centers, with a focus on infrastructure and facilities (both electrical and mechanical);
  • Completion of a recognized mechanical trade qualification;
  • Proficiency in mechanical systems and components, including understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical installation practices;
  • Solid understanding of power distribution, network cabling systems, and facilities critical infrastructure systems;
  • Expertise in energy management, optimizing kW usage, and improving cost efficiency in large-scale facilities;
  • Strong financial skills in budget planning and allocation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals;
  • Experience in procurement for critical infrastructure, aligning activities with project and operational needs;
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver complex infrastructure projects on time and within scope;
  • Attention to detail in maintaining accurate documentation and producing compliant reports;
  • Strong communication skills for leading maintenance, operations, and emergency procedures at critical and non-critical sites;
  • Leadership experience in providing strategic direction for regional projects and operations;
  • Proven ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for seamless project execution;
  • Experience as an escalation point for alarms and incidents, ensuring rapid issue resolution;
  • Ability to lead RCAs for major events, driving continuous improvement across regions;
  • Technical expertise in integrating new sites, managing IPs, hostnames, and alarms within operational systems.
