As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing our knowledge graphs and DISQOVER platform.ResponsibilitiesYou work on different use cases (like Target Identification, Competitive Analysis…) to determine how our data offerings can address our customers’ data challenges throughout the drug development life cycle.You support our data projects by data modeling, pipeline development, quality assurance, and more.Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and semantic integration of new data sources into DISQOVER using semantic web technologies.You identify optimal strategies for integrating structured and semi-structured data.Write technical documentation on the data integration process.Develop plugins to complement data visualization or data extraction.Investigate, analyze and implement new public data sources.Stay up to date on technical knowledge and provide your insights to optimize our public data offering.Collaborate with team members of the Product Data team and the Solution Enablement team on customer projects.Our ideal colleague …Holds a degree with a scientific background in life sciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, or similar disciplines.Demonstrates a solid understanding of the various phases and data challenges in the drug development life cycle, from early R&D to clinical trials.Has excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, and exhibits a strong customer service orientation.Is a collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.Has programing skills in python.Has a keen interest in data management, data modeling, graph-based technologies, databases, data mining, semantic web, linked data, and Unix OS.Making a difference through our valuesWe are one ONTOFORCE – We’re united as one team working together to achieve, because the greatest splash is made with the greatest force.Your trusted partner – Through our innovative solutions and trusted team of experts, we support our customers as they carry out their science-driven missions.Let’s go! – It’s amazing what a can-do-attitude can do.
