To fully leverage its potential-while ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and trust-we are rolling out a comprehensive data governance strategy.Swissquote is forming a Data Governance Pole within the Data Management team to drive and oversee this initiative.As our Data Governance Officer, you will take part in defining, implementing, and upholding these standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive effective data usage, comprehensive data lifecycle management, enhance decision-making, and maintain regulatory compliance across the organization.You bring a strong expertise in data governance processes and technologies, hands-on experience with data quality and cataloging, and an analytical approach to solving challenges. You can translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms and coordinate effectively with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and other business stakeholders. - Data Governance implementation and operations
Deploy, maintain and improve the global data governance framework and processesDrive day-to-day operations such as data definition, data quality controls, and process enforcement.Automate data governance tasks and controlsEnsure consistent application of data governance policiesMonitor data governance processes and activitiesSupport and Stakeholders engagementProvide first-level support on data governance topics to business stakeholdersCollaborate closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and other business and technical stakeholdersAnimate and coordinate a community of Data Owners and Data Stewards to align on objectivesReporting and ComplianceTrack and report on data governance KPIsEnsure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, FINMA,…)Contribute to the ongoing refinement of the global data governance strategyQualifications3-5 years experience in a data governance related role, preferably in banking or financial services industryStrong understanding of data governance frameworksProven expertise in data governance processes and toolsFamiliarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, FINMA,…)Practical experience with data cataloging, data quality monitoring, and MDMKnowledge of SQL and programming languages (e.g. Python)Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Metabase, Kibana,…)Devops mindsetEffective communicator: able to translate technical concepts into business languageStrong coordination and interpersonal skills with both business and IT stakeholdersAdaptable and curious, with a drive for continuous learningAdditional InformationSQ3
