As the Deputy Manager, you will assist the Registered Manager as the strategic lead, managing and driving all areas of service delivery for the Scottish Residential Service.About YouAre you ready to make a profound impact on people’s lives? We’re seeking an extraordinary person to support the success of our well established residential rehab service. Your experience should include:
- SVQ level 4 or above compliant or equivalent qualification, or completion/willingness to complete an agreed number of modules in your probationary period
- Experience of managing teams or supervising staff
- Experience of working in a residential rehab, support service or service regulated by the Care Inspectorate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in supporting to manage budgets
- Actively demonstrate the values and beliefs of the organisation

The Role
- You will be involved in ensuring the highest level of compliance with both internal and Care Inspectorate standards of care to ensure the service is always ready for inspection.
- You will support the Registered Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver outcomes agreed by the Head of Operations and in line with the Phoenix Futures and Scottish Government KPIs.
- You will find innovative ways to support people in their recovery while ensuring your service delivers evidence-based practice.
- With the support of the Registered Manager, you will be the lead in delivering a programme tailored to the Therapeutic Community model.
- Your role will require you to maintain and improve business relationships, support to manage budgets including the financial viability of the service in line with budget management policy.
- You will be responsible for the external reputation of the service and be an ambassador for the wider organisation.
- You will be a positive, innovative and motivational leader who will work collaboratively as part of the Scotland Management Team to support Phoenix Futures Scotland Residential targets. As well as being able to support and ensure occupancy targets are met and compliance with budgeting and financial policy and procedures.
The ServicePhoenix Futures’ Scottish Residential Service offers a drug and alcohol free environment with structured support for people 18 years of age or over who are looking to address their problematic drug and/or alcohol use and improve their mental health. We have been successfully supporting people to achieve long term recovery for more than 30 years in Scotland and for over 50 years across the wider UK. We offer programmes of both 3 and 6 months in length based on the need of the individual. The spacious service provides for 31 residents who are supported through the evidence-based Therapeutic Community model.
