Come Innovate Motion with usWe are seeking for Design Engineer who would bring the needed technical expertise to develop best in class products. The ideal candidate would develop projects by applying JE production technology, while adapting to the company’s digital transformation and automation for mechanics, DC-motor, purchased components and others.In this role, you will be responsible for designing and development of actuator components, including related test and assembly rigs – following the development process to have clear control of timing, cost and performance of the programs.Your responsibilities will be to:Design and development of actuators including components following the JE product development process and ASPICE methodology, from the first concept to a reliable serial productionDesign to specification, design to cost, deliver on time, first time rightEnsure quality among all project phasesDesign – research, evaluation of different technologies and proceduresTechnical documents and drawings using common Office applications and CAD software (preferably Siemens NX)Carrying out subject-specified calculationsFMEA, test plan definition, release and validation of components and complete actuatorsCustomer visits and technical discussions in the acquisition phase as well as during developmentEvaluation of customer and internal standards / specification and communicate via Compliance MatrixTechnical support of internal and customer projects in an international contextContinuous improvements of the productQuality and process aspectsOur requirements:Bachelor’s, Master’s or equivalent diploma in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 2 years of experience in a relevant roleSolid understanding of design and engineering procedures; technical know-how of modern manufacturing technology in plastic and metal processingExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishFluent in either German or French with good communication skills in the otherExperience in applying latest 3D engineering tools, preferentially Unigraphics NXCustomer relationship management skillsStrong problem-solving skills, independent and systematic working style, able to work under pressureExcellent communication skills with strong focus on maintaining close relationship with the production sites, technical stakeholders in multi-cultural and global environment (internal and external)Initiative and diligenceRigorous, autonomous and able to work on tight deadlinesWillingness to traveling to customer’s and production locationsWhat we offer:We look forward to welcoming a dedicated professional who is eager to develop his skills in the multicultural environment and find innovative design solutions – all within global work context where you shape the future of mobility.Come join our global, inclusive & diverse teamOur purpose is to improve the quality of life of everyone we touch through our innovative motion systems.
