There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
- Execute the electrical design and specification of power electronics valves of assigned delivery projects. Valves are based on thyristor and IGBT technologies.
- Once thoroughly trained to the subject, will participate in the Thyristor valve routine tests and type tests in co-operation with the valve lead engineer.
- Participate in project commissioning phase of power electronics valves, either remotely or locally at the substation.
- Support sales team in technical aspects related to power electronic valves and cooling systems and MV components.
- Prepare request for quotations (RFQs) and validate quotations of cooling systems in co-operation with sourcing team.
- Participate Cooling system FAT tests remotely or locally.
- Provide engineering supervision for MV equipment design and installation.
- support and advise local technical teams during implementation
Desired characteristics
- MSC or BSC in power electronics
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel
- Knowledge in electrical power engineering, water cooling systems, MC equipment design and embedded systems are considered as advantage
- Strong problem solving and advisory capability
- Combined design and practical implementation capability
- English – mandatory
- Finnish – preferred
