Design ManagerLocation: Kilkenny CityThis is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Kilkenny City with the responsibility for managing our clients design team.Ideally, the successful candidate will have data centre experience and comprehensive experience of managing a design team.Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful individual will have the following:

• Proven track record of ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise deadlines.
• Hold Professional design qualification and have previous design experience.
• 5+ years managing a design team.
• Previous data centre experience ideally.
• Ability to take a professional, organised and positive approach to problem solving.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT skills required including; MS office suite and good knowledge of Google Packages such as Google Drive & Google Docs.

Duties of the role will include:

• Managing the design function within the company and allocating the necessary resources to ensure that projects are designed, and materials procured within the agreed timelines.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, engineers and clients in relation to all aspects of project designs.
• Establish and maintain design schedules including productivity.
• Leads the project team to achieve all project objectives.
• Review all commercial documents to ensure that all elements quoted are included in the design
• Understand the scope of work, while controlling changes to ensure commercial risks are communicated.
• Review design risk assessments.
• Develop relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Ensure that handover documentation is compiled and issued appropriately.
• Mentor and develop design team.
