The position is located at our Head Office in Espoo.What do you get to do?As a Development Manager, you are responsible for calculating and processing environmental data from production plants for sustainability reporting. In this role, your key contacts are the environmental reporters at the plants and representatives from Metsä Group’s various functions.You will become part of the environmental team of Metsä Group’s Technology function. You will report to Environmental Director.Main responsibilities:
- Processing and calculating environmental data to serve various stakeholders
- Development and administration of environmental reporting tools
- Support in matters related to chemical legislation and safety.
- Manage, co-operate and communicate with several different types of internal stakeholders.

The position is a fixed-term study leave substitute until 30.6.2026.What are we looking for?To succeed, you need versatile production and/or environmental accounting skills of forest industry processes and products as well as an understanding of the industrial operating environment, international business and/or industrial operations goals and business processes. We expect you to be self-motivated and proactive. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural matrix environment are essential.We value your experience in industry, sustainability reporting and chemicals legislation and familiarity with corporate sustainability requirements, targets, and strategies helps you succeed in the position (CSRD).Full working proficiency in English is mandatory with fluent Finnish being an advantage.
