The role involves managing budgets, coordinating teams, and ensuring projects meet contractual and regulatory requirements.Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, the Development Manager collaborates with design, commercial, and construction teams to ensure successful, on-time, and within-budget project delivery.Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Glenveagh and project stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with local authorities, clients, and external partners
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management on project progress, covering budget, site developments, compliance, and potential risks
  • Collaborate with Glenveagh teams to develop and manage project plans, schedules, specifications, and budgets.
  • Lead technical aspects of residential bulk sales and forward fund transactions, including commercial negotiations and coordination with legal teams
  • Negotiate with third parties such as utility providers, local authorities, and community groups to meet project requirements
  • Manage planning consents, discharge planning conditions, and work with design teams to ensure projects are fully prepared for construction.
  • Conduct regular site visits, working closely with the construction team to address issues and ensure seamless project handovers

Requirements

  • Must have significant experience in property development, construction management, or civil/structural engineering, with technical acumen to effectively contribute to project success
  • Strong foundation in planning and design processes, construction methodologies, statutory consents, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships
  • Skilled in project management with a clear and concise communication approach
  • In-depth knowledge of the Irish planning, development, and construction sectors
  • Effective team player with a proactive and positive mindset
  • Adaptable, responsible, and committed to delivering results
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Technology, Project Management, or Construction Management preferred
