• responsible for the professional leadership of the team
• resource management (let it be competence or devices)
• continuous performance improvement of the team via process optimization
• communication and liaison (between team and management)
• thinking in terms of quarterly / seasonal targets
• solve and manage complex tasks and challenges – with the proper delegation level when necessary
• responsible for proper effort / time estimation and the delivery of the agreed features/ tasks
• joint prioritization with the PO (Architect if necessary) and ensure the proper balance between tech and prod related tasks
• break down product / technology epics to smaller tasks – with the proper delegation level when necessary
• responsible for the continuous quality improvement of the whole codebase and technology stack by checking MRs or delegate MR reviews and asking the question during planning is it going to incur huge tech debt in the near future?
• people management (1on1, evaluating people’s performance, competence development)

Required competencies

• At least 3-5 years of experience in leading and managing a development team
• Strong English communication skills for negotiations and discussions
• Strong OOP mindset and extensive experience with PHP 8.0
• Confident SQL knowledge with PostgreSQL (version 15)
• Advanced knowledge/experience with Elastic Search
• Experience in resource management, including handling team members’ competencies and required tools
• Practical experience in improving team performance through process optimization
• Outstanding communication skills with experience in effectively liaising between team and management
• Able to set and track quarterly or seasonal goals
• Able to solve complex tasks and challenges while delegating appropriate tasks and responsibilities
• Extensive experience in prioritizing tasks and projects in collaboration with the Product Owner and Architect
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Able to balance technology-related and product-related tasks effectively
• Experience in managing team conflicts, recruitment, and onboarding processes
• Extensive experience in code reviews
