About your future role
At Nexi, we are investing in modernizing our card payment processing platforms, taking them to a completely new level. With the aspiration to be a leader not only in the Nordics but across Europe, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us on this journey.You will join a Nordic DevOps team comprising experienced engineers who are optimizing software delivery capabilities as part of the platform modernization program. This role offers the opportunity to work in a truly international environment, collaborating with colleagues across all Nexi Group locations.In this role, you will focus on automating and enhancing software delivery and deployment processes, ensuring system stability, security, and seamless collaboration between development and operations teams.Your key responsibilities in this role will be:
- Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD): Automate and manage the CI/CD pipelines for all environments (test, pre-production, production).
- Automation & Process Improvement: Drive automation across the technology stack to speed up development, testing, and deployment.
- Service Request Management: Create and handle technical service requests and monitor their resolution.
- Deployment Support: Participate in production deployments, provide post-deployment support (hypercare), and assist teams in overcoming deployment challenges.
- System Health & Monitoring: Ensure the health and stability of all environments, monitor system performance, and implement improvements to reduce release failures and mean time to repair (MTTR).
- DevOps Advocacy: Actively promote a DevOps mindset within the organization, emphasizing collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Support application and operations teams with pipeline automation, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring system stability and resilience.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: As part of the DevOps team you will collaborate closely with System Architects, Senior Developers and Infrastructure Architects/teams, to ensure the quality of the DevOps infrastructure.

- Passionate about DevOps, with an interest to optimize and streamline software delivery processes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows, including the foundation of continuous integration, and enabling fast feedback cycles for development teams.
- Knowledgeable in DevOps principles and building a DevOps culture that fosters collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Communication and coordination skills for effective collaboration across internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers.
Proficient in key tools and technologies such as:
- Linux/Unix, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Bash.
Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out:
- GitOps, Kustomize/Helm, Terraform, Java/Groovy, Spock, Maven, Continuous Delivery.
- Monitoring with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana/Splunk/OpenSearch, and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Hazelcast.
- Working knowledge of MongoDB, Nexus.
- Certificate Management expertise and a solid understanding of Network and IT infrastructure.
- Skilled in incident management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with log management, resource management, and documentation.
- Familiarity with Jira/Confluence for project tracking and team collaboration.
- Experience with the Card Processing domain.
