With our innovative Olink solutions – including highly specific and validated assays that cover more than 5,000 proteins – our colleagues and technology empower scientists in groundbreaking research that will play a pivotal role in the future of personalized medicine.Discover Impactful Work:As Director of Data & Analytics you will be part of the Research and Development (R&D) leadership team and will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a forward-looking data and analytics strategy that fuels innovation, product development, and commercialization across the organization. You will lead a department of ~80 high-performing individuals distributed in cross-functional team across Sweden and North America, overseeing data science, software development, and advanced data analytics—including machine learning and AI.This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of precision medicine and proteomics by transforming how we leverage data to drive scientific discovery and business growth.A day in the Life:

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for Data and Analytics R&D aligned with Olink’s mission and business objectives.
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams in data acquisition, integration, governance, and analysis to strengthen our data-driven decision processes.
• Lead our global Data Science Customer application team providing advanced analytical data support to our customers.
• Lead our software development of new innovative products for data generation and analysis of next generation proteomics research.
• Champion the adoption of novel technologies to enhance Olink’s competitive edge in the life sciences space.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (other R&D department, Sales, Product Management, IT, QA, and more) and external partners (customers, vendors, collaborators).
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software and data science projects that support product innovation and customer success.
• Foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage departmental budgets, resource planning, and strategic investments in technology and talent.

Keys to Success:Education

• Ph.D. in a relevant Life Science field, preferably in Bioinformatics.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in advanced data analytics and software development, including machine learning, statistics, and data-driven product development. Knowledge in AI as well as experience from the field of proteomics is highly desirable.
• 10+ years of managing and leading high performing, cross-functional teams/departments in a relevant area.
• Proven track record of managing, mentoring and guiding other managers.
• Experience of successfully leading and executing software development projects.
