Then you might be our new colleague.As Director of Mechanics, Global Sourcing, your main responsibilities are to manage and develop your organization, drive & deliver on all aspects of the supply strategy & continue to develop seamless working relationships with internal stakeholders, to effectively execute, maintain & further develop a high-quality supplier base, capable of continuously meeting GN’s Global Operations & key stakeholder requirements.The team you will be part of:Based at our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark you will report to Vice President Global Sourcing, Liam Kenny, physically located in Ireland and be part of the Global Sourcing Management team.You will motivate and develop your global mechanics sourcing team of 10 professionals – located both at our HQ and in China – specializing in all aspects of mechanical sourcing, ensuring strategic procurement practices are in place.You will also ensure the continuous establishment and improvement of resilient local delivery networks across NA, EMEA, and APAC regions, supply chain agility, cost optimization, and sustainability.As part of a global organization, our team is diverse, with members from various nationalities, located across the world. Our daily communication language is English.You work across the organization – ensuring alignment on strategic sourcing strategies with business objectives while mitigating risks and enhancing supplier partnerships on a global scale.Your contribution includes:Empower, motivate and develop the global sourcing team – that works globally, remotely, and virtually.Oversee the development & implementation of a Mechanics global supply strategy, that meets the requirements and targets set forth in our Global Operation strategyDevelop & manage the mechanics sourcing management team, that delivers a high-quality supply base (cost, technology, quality, place, etc.) & new product execution.Implement and maintain a comprehensive global supply risk management strategy for mechanics, including mitigation measures and business continuity planning (BCP).Ensure all needed supply relationship management enablers are in place (balanced scorecard, robust agreements, regular business reviews, amongst others).Manage stakeholder relationships towards the Mechanics Sourcing function, at a senior level.Implement business systems that supports development of a lean, professional, and high-performance sourcing function.To thrive in the role, we expect that you have:Extensive experience in managing a global sourcing function across multiple regions. Adept at establishing processes to meet strategic goals in international settings.A solid understanding of Mechanics manufacturing & product technologies, sufficient to engage in meaningful debate on cost, quality, innovation, industrialization, lead time & risk managementAbility to coach, motivate and develop a team of Sourcing professionals.A decade or more experience in global sourcing, with a focus on mechanical components – by which you have obtained extensive knowledge of the global mechanics supply industry & related dynamics.Ability to communicate & present in English across the organization, incl. to senior management.A higher educational background within Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Strategic Procurement, Business Management or other relevant areas of studies.At a personal level, we imagine that you:Respect stringent deadlines and targets, and can prioritize efforts and focus efficiently accordingly, for you and for your team.The ability and will to establish relations and contribute to a social and collaborative work environment where collective outcomes are shared, and problems are openly discussed.We encourage you to applyEven if you don’t match all the above-mentioned skills, we will gladly receive your application if you think you have transferrable skills.
