Read more: .This recruitment is carried out anonymously.Metsä Group Finance is now looking for aDIRECTOR, METSÄ GROUP ACCOUNTING SERVICESto its Group Finance team.What will you get to do?In this leadership role you are responsible for overseeing the delivery of statutory financial services for Finnish entities, including VAT reporting and official year-end financial statements, as well as other agreed-upon financial services. In addition to supporting Shared Services Centers (SSC) and Business Areas (BAs) as a subject matter expert in transactional finance, you lead the Transactional Finance Process Owners’ team. The team provides strategic direction and day-to-day guidance to ensure consistency, compliance, and excellence across transactional finance processes. In your team there are 5 direct reports and 11 employees in total.As a senior member of the finance function, you drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize systems and workflows, and build organizational capabilities to meet compliance, operational, and business objectives.In this role you will report to SVP, Group Finance. The position is located at Metsä Group’s head office in Espoo, Finland.What are we expecting of you?To succeed in this position, you have a relevant Master’s degree (e.g. in accounting or similar) and have at least 10 years of work experience in financial services. You understand Finnish financial regulations and reporting standards.You have experience from leadership or supervisor roles and are accustomed to managing projects and deadlines.
