Director, Product Marketing – IPMS (Intellectual Property)

The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for building marketing strategy and organization enablement designed to support the adoption and retention of the IP Management Software portfolio at Clarivate.The Director of Product Marketing develops go-to-market strategy and marketing plans designed to build awareness and preference for the Clarivate brand; develops positioning and content that aligns Clarivate data, software, and consulting capabilities to address the needs of various buyer types within the Clarivate segments; and support the broader commercial organization with compelling segment and product-specific enablement, messaging and assets.This position is highly collaborative, working globally in partnership with strategy, sales, customer care, and the broader marketing organization. To be successful in this role, the Director of Product Marketing must be a critical thinker, business- and commercially-minded, an exceptionally strong writer and highly organized.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, or related, in a B2B environmentBachelor’s degree requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical capabilities and the value of productsAbility to work in a team environment and with cross-functional teams and solve challenges collaborativelyAble to be a self-starter, to set priorities and manoeuvre the corporate environmentAbility to handle a fast-paced environment, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business needsExperience working within Product Marketing at a B2B firm ideally with a software/tech focusManagement and mentorship of a diverse team of marketersNatural intellectual curiosity for how things workProclivity for marketing and conveying complex ideas in easy-to-understand waysAttentive to detail and committed to qualityPragmatic, analytical, good at prioritization and trade-offsLeadership skills and ability to influence peers and counterparts in cross-functional teamsIt would be great if you also have . . .Knowledge of Intellectual PropertyMasters degree/MBAWhat will you be doing in this role?Hiring and performance management: Lead a team of product marketers, including recruiting, career development and performance management.General planning: Build comprehensive and measurable marketing plan for the IP Management Software and Application portfolio.Product positioning: Drive the development of clear and compelling messaging and value propositions that differentiate product sets in the market globally and by region. Work with Product Management, Consulting, Global Sales, as well as across the Marketing organization and directly with customers to build buyer personas and map out the customer journey, while identifying opportunities to optimize the customer experience.Launch planning: Lead the launch of new products and commercial programs driving revenue and retention in partnership with product management, go-to-market, segment and demand marketing, including internal readiness and external communications.Sales enablement: Communicate the value proposition of the product sets and enhancements to sales while assisting in the development of messaging and tools that enable sales to grow the business. This includes internal and external release communications and corresponding sales tools.Content creation: Partner with creative teams (internally and externally) to manage and track the development of content pieces, including sales tools, marketing content (product videos, case studies, whitepapers), competitive battle cards, web content, social media content, and more.About the TeamThis role will report into to the Senior Director, Product Marketing within our Intellectual Property segment. The role will lead a team of 2 Product Marketing Managers as well as collaborate with the wider marketing team and stakeholders from other business functions.Hours of WorkFull-time, permanent role based out of our London office on a hybrid basis; 2 days per week in the office.
