Your workdayIn this role, you will be part of an exciting and adventurous daily life filled with challenging operations support, with the responsibility for the full end to end purchasing process. By virtue of your role, you will be a critical asset for both the company and your colleagues to ensure the right equipment and spares are available on time for our vessels in Ushuaia, Argentina.You will be based in Vågsøy, Norway as part of a most dedicated team. Our head offices is in Buenos Aires, and some follow-up there should be expected. To be able to evaluate and establish needed relations and agreements with critical suppliers, a fair amount of travel will be required — but this will also provide valuable insights and network. Some of your key responsibilities

• Responsible for the full end-to-end purchasing operations, including strategic procurement functions
• Evaluation and establishment of framework agreements and long-term relations with critical suppliers
• Be the point of contact between internal operations, strategic suppliers and Argentine authorities

Who we are looking forWe are seeking someone who is adventurous, decisive and who can stand firm in your decisions. Being a team player with strong cultural awareness is highly valued.A solid technical understanding is essential to fully grasp the needs of both the vessel and the superintendents at all times. Previous seafaring experience is a significant advantage. We also seek someone with a background or experience in procurement and logistics, preferably with an established network of suppliers in Europe. ShipsEstremar operates two vessels out of the port of Ushuaia Argentina.Centurion Del Atlantico is an 118 meter factory trawler that catching Hoki and Southern Blue Whiting mainly using pelagic trawl. Production of Surimi. Centurion Del Atlantico has just finished a rebuilding at Westcon shipyard in Florø, Norway. Installed new engines, propeller, batteries and complete factory for surimi and H/G production.Valeria Del Atlantico (formerly San Arawa II) is a 61,4 meter freezing trawler built at Søviknes Yard in 1986.
