The purpose of the post is to provide a recovery-focused social work service that seeks to improve the health and social wellbeing of the service users. The post holder will achieve this thorough the implementation of an accessible, equitable, person-centred service.The Senior Social Worker will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a co-ordinated approach to mental health care. The Senior Social Worker brings a systemic perspective to assessments and interventions on a multidisciplinary team emphasising the importance of assessing the person in their environment, assessing and providing expertise where the social aspects are factors impacting on the service user’s mental health and on their family. The Senior Social Worker emphasises the importance of family focused practice and their psychosocial assessments and therapeutic interventions focus not only on an individual’s mental health needs, but on their relationships, supporters and the broader family and community systems.For further support on applying for this role please refer to:
