Do you want to participate in district energy projects with your knowledge in all aspects of electrical engineering in district heating, thereby promoting the green transition? Then, come and create the sustainable solutions of the future together with us!Become part of our district energy department in Aarhus.We are looking for a skilled electrical specialist to join our expert team of around 90 professionals, including experts, specialists, and project managers. We are marketleaders for district heating and cooling, biomass, energy planning, and energy optimization experts, we focus on green transition and sustainability, delivering end-to-end solutions from planning and design to implementation and optimization. With high activity in Denmark and increasing demand internationally, we are currently undertaking large-scale electrified heatproduction projects, such as heat pumps, electrical boilers, and thermal energy storage systems. Notable projects include Assens District Heating’s biomass expansion with solar and heat pumps and Europe’s largest district cooling system in Kalundborg. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical-related aspects of our projects, covering high-voltage power supply, electrical installations, automation, SCADA, SRO, instrumentation, and system integration. You will oversee the design, engineering, tender specifications, and supervision, establishing yourself as a primary contact in your area while contributing to some of Denmark’s most innovative energy initiatives.In your daily work, you will:
- Create effective electrical and automation solutions for a wide range of district heating and cooling production systems, transmission, and distribution facilities, such as heat exchanger – and pump stations.
- Provide professional consultancy in energy automation integration of different process plants and systems.
- Engage with your colleagues in a collaborative professional environment, where we assist each other with valuable sparring.
- Collaborate across COWI’s organization work on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to ensuring efficient project deliveries
- Carry out electrical and automation tasks from the idea phase, preparation of specifications, design, and tendering to commission, including:
- Design and specify power supply
- Design electrical installations and switchgear systems
- Instrumentation
- System design of control systems, SRO/SCADA, and IT communication networks
- PI diagrams and general system and control descriptions for instrumentation and component configuration

- Education as an engineer or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with electrical and SRO tasks.
- Experience in the District Energy Sector, preferably as a consultant
