Our world-class engineering team creates products focused on performance, energy savings, connectivity and simplicity.The Applications team at Silicon Labs is the critical link between our products and the end customer’s success, and its primary function is to support our customer’s rapid prototyping and development using our Bluetooth Low Energy and Bluetooth Mesh products. The Applications Engineer is the product expert and utilizes this expertise to provide the customer with support, training and design collateral, such as application notes, design guides, hardware reference designs and evaluation hardware. The Applications Engineer offer technical leadership to ensure that the Applications Team provides the right level of support for customers and for the internal engineering, marketing and sales teams.Learn more about our Bluetooth product offerings here:What are the primary responsibilities?BLE technology area to support customers using Bluetooth Low Energy and Bluetooth Mesh wireless stacks as well as Bluetooth Direction Finding and Dynamic Multiprotocol solutionsCollaborate with software engineering and marketing teams on product evaluations and new product definitionsParticipate in the product launch process by leading the applications team to create and maintain technical collateral (application notes, technical articles, code samples, training, etc.)Prioritize with the marketing and field team and assign support to meet goals and objectivesProvide guidance, mentoring and direct supervision to global team membersProvide hands-on technical leadership and training for applications engineersGenerate and deliver training material for Silicon Labs global sales and field marketing engineerWhat are the required skills or experience?Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment in a quickly evolving market spaceStrong embedded C programming skillsStrong knowledge on some of common script languages, e.g. Shell scripting or PythonExperience RTOS system skillsExperience in Agile processExperience working on Linux OSExcellent written and verbal communication skills; Fluency in EnglishAbility to communicate effectively with remote sites spanning multiple time zonesExperience providing technical support to customersExperienced in the use of industry standard tools for customer support and team project managementBasic understanding some of wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wifi, Zigbee ..)What is the required education and/or experience?Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer EngineeringMinimum of 3 years of work experience in an applicable industryBudapest Perks & BenefitsYou would be working from our office in Budapest, in Graphisoft Park, next to the riverbank of the Danube.
