Establish and maintain contact with local authorities regarding external environmental matters.
Provide guidance and support to the construction team on environmental issues.
Monitor and follow up on subcontractors’ execution related to environmental impact.
Oversee and ensure compliance with the Environmental Construction Risk Assessment.
Ensure the project’s external Environmental Plan is properly implemented and executed.
Descriptions:
Ensure that environmental objectives and targets are clearly understood and integrated within the project.
Manage general environmental processes, including the creation of new KPIs and specific procedures.
Verify environmental compliance with client expectations, regulations, and technical standards.
Ensure all KPIs (e.g., Waste, Water, Complaints, Incidents, Compliance Register) are effectively managed.
Monitor construction and subcontractor activities for environmental impact.
Conduct ASERACs (Activity-Specific Environmental Risk Assessments) before construction activities.
Perform environmental site inspections regularly.
Follow up on non-conformities and ensure mitigation measures are implemented.
Deliver environmental training on construction sites.
Address issues related to noise, vibration, air quality, accidental pollution, and agricultural/land pollution.
Protect cultural heritage and address relevant environmental concerns.
Prepare and participate in pre-activity meetings to ensure all environmental requirements are met.
Qualifications – Personal Characteristics:
Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biosciences, or a related field.
Open-minded, resilient, and adaptable, with the ability to quickly understand and adjust to new situations.
Proven experience working effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
Structured, systematic, and detail-oriented in approach.
Ability to work independently with strong execution capabilities.
A strong interest in and respect for health, environment, and safety practices.
Eager to learn and work in an international environment.
