They are keen to find an experienced Finance and Accounts Manager, ideally with Xero knowledge, who is able to manage the function independently up to management accounts level, but also who would be keen to have an exposure to the wider administrative functions of the business, to manage the compliance within operations and general administration processes within the business.This role would suit someone who likes to work in a varied environment and is happy doing general administration, liaising with other team members across departments and functions and can influence others to make sure all administrative processes are correct.This role is office based and full time.General responsibilities…

  • Sales and purchase ledger duties using Xero software
  • Managing the in-house ERP system.
  • Banking and bank reconciliations
  • Monthly management accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Purchasing.
  • Preparing year end to pass on to external Accountants
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Leading the wider team in terms of commercial process adherence.
  • Analysing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Gaining a strong baseline understanding of the running of the business and support with improvements as the business needs through growth

Skills, knowledge and abilities…

  • A working knowledge of Xero or very similar software with the ability to learn quickly
  • Experience in accounting and finance up to management accounts level
  • AAT or similar qualification or qualified by experience
  • Communicates well with wider teams, with ability to help and influence others to follow administrative and compliance processes
  • Well organised and self-disciplined
  • Detailed, accurate, methodical
  • Positive communication skills
  • Be part of a driven and fun team and want to grow within a business

Working hours…

  • Monday to Friday 08.30 – 17.00

Reward…

  • Salary – £29,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
  • 31 days holidays which includes company closure at Christmas
