The successful candidate will also be required to work on a variety of IT systems for the smooth running of the department.Duties and Responsibilities:Completion of accurate calculations and posting of invoicesPosting of receipts in line with proceduresMaintenance of the Creditors LedgerResponsible for coding and posting of supplier invoicesCompletion of monthly statement reconciliationsPreparing monthly payment runs for approvalDealing with supplier queries and escalation of same if requiredAccountable for banking duties and transactionsResponsible for posting of transactionsCompletion of monthly reconciliationsCompletion of payment runsAccountable for overseeing debit card activityReconciliation of Soldo/petty cash returnsBudgetAssisting the Finance Manager and various department heads with annual budget preparationSupport the Finance Manager with monitoring and reporting on variances against budgetManagement AccountsPosting of month end journalsAccruals and prepaymentsPrepare Management Accounts for sign off by Finance ManagerMaintain Fixed Asset registerAssist with the preparation of finance reports for board packsYear End Audit process with AuditorsPayrollAssist with processing of monthly payrollEnsuring the accurate and timely end to end processing of monthly payrollAdministering third party deductions, i.e. Pension, VHI, Social Welfare, LPTCompleting control checks prior to transmitting the final monthly paymentDeal with all payroll and benefit related queries in a timely mannerAdminResponsible for dealing with all associated administration duties including but not limited to answering phones and emails in relation to a variety of queriesAssist with procurement on facilitiesAssisting relevant parties with grant applicationsCompletion of all ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time to support the efficient functioning of the departmentSupport both IT and HR with related tasksExperience and Qualifications:Relevant third level finance qualification (e.g. Certificate, Diploma, Accounting Technician/recognised payroll qualification or equivalent is desirable)Candidates should possess minimum 5 years’ experience of financial accounts, financial administration and a knowledge of payrollStrong analytical skills, ability to plan, organise and implement tasksHighly organised individualPossess excellent IT skillsExceptional communication skillsPossess accuracy and excellent attention to detailAbility to work within a small team as well as under own initiative to strict deadlinesStrong work ethic and flexibilityThis job description indicates the main functions and responsibilities of the post and is subject to review and amendment in light of changing circumstances and may include other duties and responsibilities as may be determined from time to time by the Director of Services/CEO or designated Line Manager.
