Osborne Recruitment has partnered with a leading organisation in the aviation sector to recruit a Finance Director – a senior leadership role that’s central to shaping financial strategy and supporting growth across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working at pace, building teams, and making a real impact. You’ll be joining an experienced senior management team and helping to steer a company with ambitious plans for the future.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the finance function, including systems, processes, and a growing team
- Deliver accurate and timely management accounts, reporting packs, and board materials
- Play a hands-on role in financial planning, analysis and decision-making support
- Identify ways to improve efficiency, manage risk, and control costs across the business
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, audit, and tax obligations (Ireland and internationally)
- Oversee treasury and cash flow management, while supporting long-term strategic planning
- Work closely with internal departments and external advisors to align finance with business goals
Skills and Experience:
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) with 5+ years PQE
- Experience in a senior finance role, ideally within aviation or MRO
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to link financials to wider business performance
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow high-performing teams
- Skilled in change management, with a track record of improving systems or processes
- Excellent communication and influencing skills – comfortable at board level
- Highly organised, with a proactive approach and a high standard of professional integrity
