Lawler Group are a well-established business operating within the traditional engineering and sustainability and energy management sectors. Currently experiencing growth in new business opportunities, we now require a Finance Manager to enhance the finance function.Reporting to the Directors, this is a broad hands-on management accounting, IT and corporate finance role.The role represents an opportunity to shape and drive the continued growth of the business and offers significant upward career progression.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will have several years’ experience within a quality well run business. The role will suit a pro-active candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business. The candidate should be a qualified accountant, with excellent IT and inter-personal skills and a pro-active “can do” attitude. Working experience within a fast-paced service, construction or engineering environment would be a distinct advantage.An attractive remuneration and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily finance and accounting operations (supervising and developing a team of 3 persons).
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Manage budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage corporate cash flow and financing facilities
  • Ensure business activities are adequately covered by insurance (EL, PL, PII etc.)
  • Implement and monitor internal control policies and procedures (including ongoing review and improvement).
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies
  • Other ad hoc duties and projects as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior finance role.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Experience with Sage 50 and simPRO would be a significant plus.
  • The candidate must obtain the relevant legal requirements to work in Ireland.

The following would make you stand out from other applicants:· Experience in Corporate Finance (specifically project based finance fundraising)· Experience in ERP systems implementation
