Location: Finland (remote OK, weekly travel to Helsinki and occasional travel to London)Carbo Culture is a carbon removal technology developer building solutions to permanently remove CO₂. We’re headquartered in Helsinki, with operations in Finland, the UK, the Netherlands, and Norway. Our team is mostly remote, with opportunities to meet in person in Helsinki and at company summits.We are looking for a Finance Manager to fully own and develop our international finance operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in financial controlling and accounting who wants to shape the financial foundations of a fast-growing climate tech company. You’ll work directly with leadership and external partners to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic support across our global entities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fully own day-to-day financial operations across multiple countries

• Ensure local and international compliance (accounting, tax, payroll, etc.)

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes and automate / improve where you see fit

• Coordinate with external accountants, payroll providers, and auditors

• Support funding activities, Board updates, grant reporting, and audit preparation

• Implement internal financial controls and reporting systems, supporting critical business decisions

• Work closely with R&D and operations teams to support financial workflows

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• 5–7+ years experience in financial controlling or similar roles

• Deep understanding of Finnish accounting standards and IFRS

• Strong communication skills and ability to own, plan and lead work across functions

• Experience managing international financial operations

• Skilled in Excel / Google Sheets for modeling and analysis

• Familiar with tools like Procountor, QuickBooks, Xero, Exact Online

• Able to read and handle Finnish or Swedish compliance documentation

Nice to have:

• Experience in cost or project controlling

• Background in industrial, engineering, or climate-related sectors

• Familiarity with EU or Business Finland grant processes

• Knowledge of insurance, compliance, and payroll across global subsidiaries
