Our client, a large non-profit organization are seeking an experienced and driven Financial Controller to lead its finance function with a focus on Tax Compliance, Financial Governance, Treasury Management, and Capital Expenditure.This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of their financial processes, with a key focus on compliance, strategic tax planning, and process improvement.The Financial Controller will also be responsible for supporting their strategic goals through oversight of financial governance and resource allocation.With offices in Parkwest, Dublin, they are operating with a hybrid working model (2 days onsite, 3 days home).Key Responsibilities:Tax Strategy & Compliance: Advise on and implement tax strategies for the Group, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements. Oversee accurate and timely submission of PAYE, VAT, and Corporation Tax filings.Financial Governance & Controls: Implement and enhance financial governance practices, including tax and finance policies. Continuously improve internal controls, addressing any audit recommendations to ensure the highest standards.Treasury Management: Lead the treasury function, focusing on cash flow management, banking relationships, and maintaining strong financial controls to support both operational and capital projects.Capital Expenditure Oversight: Develop and manage an efficient capital expenditure process, ensuring compliance across departments for all capital projects.Corporate Structure & Regulatory Compliance: Review and streamline the corporate structure, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and working with internal and external advisors on any required legal changes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations teams to address local taxation issues and drive process improvements that enhance financial efficiency.Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor or Accountant (CTA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in tax or accounting.
- Experience with the not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
- Strong skills in Excel, financial reporting, and accounting software.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and people management skills.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving.
