For more information, please visitWe are looking for a (Senior) Investment Analystto join our Investment analysis team for a full-time, permanent position in Helsinki. The seniority of the position will be adapted according to your experience.The Investment analysis team plays a central role in Finnfund’s investment process. The team is involved in all transactions, from the screening stage to exit or final repayment. Operating independently within Investment operations, the Investment analysis team provides financial expertise to the sector teams and decision-makers. The team consists of seven professionals.What you will be doingAs a (Senior) Investment Analyst, you will collaborate with the project team to prepare new investment proposals and analyse selected portfolio companies. Your responsibilities will include conducting financial analysis, preparing financial projections, analysing valuations, and gathering information on customers, industries, markets, and operating environments for both investment proposals and portfolio management purposes.Who we are looking forYou may be at the beginning of your career or a more experienced professional, but we expect you to have already a few years of relevant work experience in areas such as corporate or investment banking, private equity, financial consultancy, corporate accounting or corporate investment planning. You should also have a relevant university degree. International work experience, especially from developing countries, is highly appreciated.To be successful in the position we expect you to have:

  • proficiency in evaluating financial statements and other investment metrics to assess both equity and debt transactions
  • advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modelling
  • high integrity and the ability to provide unbiased, well-supported investment analysis to senior management
  • persistent, analytic, and comprehensive approach to challenges
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills together with fluent social skills
  • fluent written and spoken English, command of other languages is a benefit
  • capability to work independently and be proactive and goal-oriented
  • possibility and preparedness to travel to developing countries, sometimes at a short notice.
