Job DescriptionHelp us shape the future of automation in LEGO® factories. Join a growing team of engineers building the tools and interfaces that support the next generation of automated logistics on the shop floor. We’re working on an internal platform that integrates seamlessly with AGVs (automated guided vehicles) and other systems, making it easier, faster, and smarter to move goods between locations.Core responsibilitiesAs a Frontend Engineer, you’ll collaborate with 4 other engineers in a tight-knit, friendly team. You’ll build internal tools that allow shopfloor operators to interact with logistics systems, whether through web apps built with React and TypeScript, or handheld devices using React Native.You’ll work in 3-week sprints, participate in daily stand-ups, and have the chance to drive structure, help shape the UI/UX, and deliver scalable solutions that will eventually roll out to our factory in Virginia and beyond.Beyond this you will:
- Engineer robust, well-tested frontend applications using React and TypeScript
- Build secure and privacy-compliant solutions aligned with LEGO Group standards
- Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth integration with backend systems (e.g., SAP and automated logistics solutions)
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure product adaptability and reliability
- Contribute to team culture, code quality, and product direction
- Participate in backlog refinement and sprint planning in our Scrum setup
Play your part in our team succeedingThe Platform Technology department provides solutions and technology for the engineering areas of the LEGO Group. In this position you will be part of a product team that builds a product that enables our factories around the world to enable automated logistics flows. The ambition is to create a highly customizable product that allows the operators in the factories to control their own logistics flowsDo you have what it takes?
- Strong programming skills, preferably experience with developing either web
solutions using React and Typescript, or android apps using React Native.
Additional experience with NET, C# is a plus. * Comfortable navigating large enterprise environments
- User-focused attitude – working closely with our PM to understand shopfloor needs
- Proactive, independent, and passionate about learning through play
Bonus skills:
- Experience with integration platforms i.e., Apache Pulsar, Rabbit MQ, or similar
- Experience with observability and tracing, e.g. with Elastic and OpenTelemetry
- Experience with CI/CD, testing automation, and deploying Containerized Applications using Helm charts
- Experience with system and service architecture
