Here, great ideas have no rank, and we invite everybody to chip in to create the strongest banking solutions for Danish society.GDPR consultantWe are searching for a GDPR ConsultantThis position is based at our office in Roskilde, where you will join our GDPR Compliance function which is part of Legal, which provides legal advice and guidance to BEC while ensuring BEC’s adherence to regulatory requirements, as well as identifying and reducing risk.BEC Legal includes 17 high performing colleagues all working to support BEC’s business activities. The GDPR Compliance function includes as of now 4 skilled GDPR consultants. BEC has an external DPO.We work in a hybrid remote model, coming into the office 3 days a week and with an option to work remotely for 2 days a week.The GDPR Compliance function’s responsibilities include – among other things – to conduct relevant risk assessments, support on data processing agreements towards customers and suppliers, to generally advise and assist the organization in implementing GDPR in relevant processes and IT-solutions and occasionally assist the organization in case of a potential GDPR breach.Much of our work is documented in our compliance tool, OneTrust. Experience working with this tool, or similar tools, would be an advantage, but not required.You will be closely cooperating with both your other colleagues in Legal as well as with other functions in BEC.Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Advice in connection with BEC’s procurement process, including the performance of risk assessments and evaluation of technical/organizational/contractual measures, review and negotiation of DPA’s and generally advising BEC’s decentral contract owners on their handling of GDPR in relation to BECs vendors
  • GDPR-related day-to-day operations
  • Assist the organization with completing GDPR risk assessments
  • Conduct of DPIA’s (most often in collaboration with BEC’s customers)
  • Development and maintenance of relevant templates, processes, including governance and continuous improvement of our well established GDPR framework. etc. in cooperation with your colleagues in the team
  • Performing internal controls of our GDPR framework

To succeed you will have:

  • Strong stakeholder and people skills capable of working both independently and in teams
  • Interest in Tech and have a minimum level of GDPR-relevant technical understanding
  • Clear and precise communicator in meetings and in writing
  • High proficiency in written and spoken Danish and English
  • A thorough eye for details and structure
  • Experience in working with and implementing GDPR
  • Task management skills making sure to get tasks done in an effective manner meeting deadlines.

It would be an advantage, but not strictly required if you have earlier worked in the financial services sector and hold a relevant degree in law and/or possess a GDPR-relevant certification.
