Start Date: Immediate / NegotiableJob Overview:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Foreperson to join a leading residential construction project in Cork. The successful candidate will take a hands-on leadership role, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of work on-site in line with programme expectations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of on-site Health and Safety practices and ensure strict compliance.
  • Understand and manage project timelines, reporting progress weekly and addressing delays proactively.
  • Attend and contribute to daily whiteboard meetings to ensure smooth site coordination.
  • Perform ongoing inspections of works, resolving quality and compliance issues promptly.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and groundworks/civil contractors.
  • Maintain clear site logistics including vehicle and pedestrian routes.
  • Oversee works from foundations to 1st and 2nd fix, including paving, landscaping, and boundary walls.
  • Use site coordination and logistics software to manage labour, materials, and machinery movement.
  • Ensure site security and cleanliness through proactive Health & Safety standards.
  • Support timely handover to the Finishing Foreperson, ensuring all programme milestones are met.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to maintain accurate waste management records.
  • Promote a positive site culture, upholding a best-in-class customer service mindset for all stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

  • Trade background preferred
  • Proven experience delivering projects within tight timeframes and quality standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised, with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Confident working independently and taking responsibility
  • Effective team player with the ability to manage relationships at all levels
  • Capable of overseeing multiple site operations simultaneously
  • Demonstrates initiative, leadership, and reliability
