As a General Operative assistant you will be assigned a mentor who will introduce you to the range of duties required for the smooth operation of the business. You will also gain experience and practical knowledge in a busy production environment. These duties may include: • Manual labour – You will be trained in the basic manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing materials, equipment, or products. • Equipment operation – You will be shown the safe and effective processes required to operate machinery or tools as required. • Assembly/Production Support – Full training will be provided in the production or assembly of products, ensuring that products are assembled correctly. • Quality Control – You will gain experience in quality control procedures and learn how to inspect products or materials for defects or issues and how to report any problems to supervisors. • Health and Safety – Full training will be provided on how to follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring that the workspace is clean, organized, and free from hazards. • Cleaning and Maintenance – Participants will gain experience and knowledge around maintaining a clean and safe working environment and how to maintain equipment in good working order by reporting any faults. • Team Collaboration – You will be afforded an opportunity to work closely with other team members to gain knowledge and experience from them.Role Description Formal Training Induction training Health & Safety Training – HSA Abrasive Wheel Handling Training Manual handling First Aid Safe Pass Assembly Training Informal Training On the job training in a factory setting Problem Solving Time management Teamwork
