You will play a crucial role in managing product categories, driving sales, and ensuring that the company’s offerings align with costumer needs and market trends. This position requires a blend of analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills to succeed. As a specialist in a particular product category, your knowledge of that product will enhance and develop a good relationship with suppliers.What You Will DoActively manage the end-to-end global strategic sourcing and procurement process.Provide innovative strategies for optimizing global sourcing effectiveness.Coordinate and work with both corporate and regional stakeholders to establish and implement long-term strategic goals.Establish strong supplier relationships, effectively manage category supply base, perform advanced and intricate negotiations, and oversee selection of key suppliers.Negotiate global contracts and ensure expedient and compliant implementation throughout organization.Actively monitor supplier and internal performance against contracts, industry benchmarks, and previous baselines on a quarterly basis.Identify and evaluate market changes and new technologies — make appropriate fact-based recommendations for adoption by HARMAN stakeholders.Manage and/or lead preparation and evaluation of RFx.Manage critical components for production by supplier escalations and internal alignment.Continuously benchmark activity of components from various manufacturers.Support new programs with supplier and component recommendation.Ensure component info records in ERP system.Ensure all saving reports are supported and met expectations (Amplify, Singer, EDCR).Organize quarterly business review meetings with top suppliers .Ensure capacity expansion of suppliers and visit these facilities.Frequent and close cooperation with Best Cost Analytics and Component Engineering team.What You Need to Be Successful5-10 years strategic sourcing experience, cost analysis, negotiation skills.Proven experience in contract and supplier management.Excellent market research and trend analysis skills.Strong strategic/long-range planning skills.Strong analytical and communication skills.Skills and willingness in analyzing and managing large amount of dynamically changing data.Willingness to learn key technical parameters of components.Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.Bonus Points if You HaveExperience in Electronics sourcing and procurement activities within a manufacturing dominated business environment.SAP (ERP) skills.What We OfferFlexible work environment with a culture encouraging work-life integration and collaboration in a global environment.Access to employee discounts on world-class HARMAN/Samsung products (JBL, Harman Kardon, AKG etc.).Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University.An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development“Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program.Work on best-in-class emerging technologies and an atmosphere that motivates you to give your best.#LI-Hybrid#LI-AJ1Important Notice: Recruitment ScamsPlease be aware that HARMAN recruiters will always communicate with you from an ‘@harman.com’ email address.
