Run what runs the worldThis Position reports to: Service ManagerIn this role you will be developing and managing ABB Marine & Ports’ Service Line Marine Propulsion Service Sales strategy, best practices and solutions. You will enforce the sales performance specifying and implementing effective sales processes and business-development initiatives in line with global strategy.This position is preferably located either in Helsinki; Finland, Fornebu; Norway or Miramar; US.Key Responsibilities:

• Creating, planning and implementing global sales strategy and strategic business development initiatives for the Azipod® Service Sales.
• Defining key sales targets and establishing appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance.
• Identifying and evaluating opportunities with existing and potential customer segments on a global basis.
• Developing and coaching local sales organizations to reach sales milestones steadily.
• Work together with new build Sales team and Product management in area of product life cycle management.
• Collaborating with new build Sales team and Product management in product life cycle management.
• Cooperating and maintaining effective relationships with Service Sales of Business Line Marine Service & Digital.
• Identifying new business opportunities and creating clear strategies to convert them into business opportunities.
• Conducting contract risk assessments and working closely with relevant parties to mitigate risks.

What it takes to Run what runs the world:

• 10 years of experience in sales and sales management preferably within Maritime industry.
• Experience of business development and account management.
• A clear grasp of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.
• Adept communication and negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset and a professional, solution-oriented mindset.
• A Master or bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical engineering.
