Join our fascinating and international working environment and be part of the team responsible for the further development of our digital logistics processes.YOUR ROLEYou will be part of our Global Database team and work with databases, with a strong focus on Oracle, of which you will be the main expert. Besides the daily operation, you will always participate in interesting projects, e.g., database upgrades and migration from non-standard to standard databases.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and create Oracle database installations, aligning software provider requirements with company standards.
• Support development teams with operational and strategic advice, including consulting on database design and usage.
• Stabilize, optimize, and enhance the Oracle database landscape.
• Develop and document operational concepts and automate standard procedures.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call duty rotation after familiarization with the environment.
• Collaborate with architects to improve database standards and adapt service descriptions.
• Optimize performance and efficiency for growing data volumes, ensure quality management, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Provide system design and setup consulting while documenting and implementing policies, security measures, and disaster recovery plans.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Extensive experience in operating Oracle databases within enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong interest in Data Guard, standby databases, and related technologies.
• Basic knowledge and practical experience in OS administration (Unix/Linux and Microsoft).
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet), scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PowerShell), and APIs (e.g., RESTful, GraphQL).
• Self-reliant in error analysis and performance optimization; familiarity with backup tools like Commvault is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills with a customer-focused and service-oriented approach; a collaborative team player.
• Independent and goal-oriented working style with a commitment to quality outcomes.
• Proficient in written and spoken English, ensuring clarity and effective communication.
