You will be taking part in the future development and design of our electrical simulation model platform and perform simulation studies on specific Wind Power Plants.The team develops several different electrical simulation models for Siemens Gamesa Wind Turbines which are used in grid connection studies, grid code compliance studies and other electrical system studies.How You’ll Make an ImpactWorking assignments will include, but will not be limited to:

• Development and optimization of electrical simulation models in various simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink, DigSilent PF & PSS/E.
• Using automatic code generation tools.
• Test model performance and analyze results.
• Assess model performance against WTG capabilities.
• Analyze Modelling functionalities.
• Documentation of activities: design report, validation reports, guidelines.
• Develop automation pipelines for the verification, validation and deployment of power system simulation models
• Implement modifications in the models.

What you bringPassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.We are looking for multiple candidates, both graduates and more candidates with experience.Our preferred candidate holds a M.SC. or Ph.D. within Electrical Engineering, or similar. For the experienced candidates a minimum of 3+ years of experience within model development of electrical simulation models just as further experience within electrical simulation studies, control systems and software development will be an advantage.Demonstrable experience with one or more of the following simulation tools:

• Matlab/Simulink
• DigSilent PF
• PSS/E
• PSCAD/EMTDC.

If you have demonstrable experience with one or more of the following software languages it is an advantage:

• C/C++
• Fortran
• Python.
